China Railway Seventh Group Fifth Engineering Co., Ltd. is a backbone enterprise under China Railway Group Limited, a Fortune 500 company and the world's second-largest construction contractor, specifically under China Railway Seventh Group Co., Ltd. Its predecessor was formed on November 3, 2004, through the reorganization of three companies with over 50 years of history: Zhengzhou Railway Construction Group Engineering Second Company, Zhengzhou Railway Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Railway Construction Group Engineering First Company, collectively becoming China Railway Seventh Group Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. To refine its market competition strategy, on June 30, 2011, with approval from China Railway Seventh Group Co., Ltd. and the national industrial and commercial administrative departments, the company was officially renamed China Railway Seventh Group Fifth Engineering Co., Ltd.
The company is located in Zhengzhou, a renowned city in Central China. It currently has over 1,800 employees, including 598 professional technical personnel, 188 with intermediate or senior technical titles, and 56 national first-class registered constructors. It is a large state-controlled construction enterprise integrating railway, highway, housing, subway, municipal, environmental protection, and decoration works, with an annual construction capacity exceeding 2.5 billion yuan.
Over more than 50 years of construction history, the company's achievements span domestic and international projects. We have participated in national key railway constructions such as the Beijing-Guangzhou, Longhai, and Beijing-Kowloon railway trunk lines, the Wuhan and Zhengzhou railway hubs, as well as the Shijiazhuang-Wuhan Passenger Dedicated Line and the Zhengzhou-Xi'an High-Speed Railway. We have also contributed to subway projects like Guangzhou Metro, Harbin Metro, and Zhengzhou Metro. Additionally, we have undertaken housing projects including the Zhengzhou Railway Station building, the land-based buildings of the Yantai-Dalian Railway Ferry Project, the Zhengzhou International Friendship Square Complex, and the Railway Home of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau. The company has also ventured abroad to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Malaysia, undertaking numerous internationally influential projects. In recent years, 10 of our projects have received national or provincial/ministerial quality engineering awards; 2 projects have won provincial or national excellent QC achievement awards; and 2 achievements have received national and Ministry of Railways science and technology progress awards. Among these, the Zhengzhou Railway Station building project and the land-based buildings of the Yantai-Dalian Railway Ferry Project have been honored with the national construction industry's highest award, the "Luban Prize."
