People's Education Press

Founded in December 1950, People's Education Press is a large-scale professional education publishing house directly under the Ministry of Education. Over the past 70-plus years since its establishment, the Press has consistently adhered to the correct political direction and publishing orientation, dedicated to the compilation, research, publication, and distribution of basic education textbooks and other textbooks and educational books at various levels. It is the national team and main force in the compilation and publication of textbooks for basic education in China. Since its inception, the Press has researched, compiled, and published eleven sets of national general primary and secondary school textbooks, and has undertaken the editorial and publication tasks of the three nationally unified textbooks (Morality and Rule of Law, Chinese, and History). In total, it has published over 70,000 types of publications, with cumulative circulation exceeding 75 billion copies. It has won numerous honors, including the National Top 100 Book Publishing Units, China Famous Trademark, Readers' Favorite Publishing House, National Civilized Unit, and China Charity Award. In 2020, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Press, General Secretary Xi Jinping replied to the veteran comrades of the Press, highly affirming its positive contributions to the development of China's education, and earnestly hoping that the Press would meticulously create high-quality textbooks that 'cultivate roots and souls, enlighten wisdom and intelligence.' Countless students have grown up reading textbooks published by the Press. We look forward to you, full of ideals and passion, joining the People's Education family, working together with us to realize the dream of educating people and sailing to the shore of success!
