Chia Tai Group, as the first foreign-invested enterprise in China after the reform and opening up, has been actively engaged in China's reform and opening up cause for over 40 years and has continuously increased its investment in China. Up to now, Chia Tai Group has established more than 600 enterprises in China, with nearly 100,000 employees and a total investment of over 120 billion yuan, and a total turnover of approximately 180 billion yuan in 2021. Chia Tai Group entered Hunan in 1985 to invest in the agriculture and food industry, becoming the first agricultural foreign-invested enterprise in Hunan Province. It has now planned multiple strategic projects in Hunan, laying out the Hunan market with a full industry chain model, with investment areas covering feed, agricultural and livestock breeding, food, retail, and other sectors. Chia Tai Hunan Region currently has more than 3,000 employees. At present, in the agriculture and food sector, three 1-million-head pig industry chain projects in Changsha Ningxiang, Changde Shimen, and Hengyang are gradually being planned and put into production; in terms of commercial retail projects, Lotus has opened its 9th supermarket store in Hunan, and Fulai Food Market, a retail and dining market, has sparked a check-in craze in Changsha; in the future, it will also plan to invest in and build a 3-million-layer hen and 30-million-broiler industry chain, as well as a food factory supporting the million-head pig industry chain. It is expected that within five years, the number of employees in Chia Tai Hunan Region will exceed 10,000.
