Yangtze Power

China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock company established by means of promotion, with China Three Gorges Project Corporation as the main sponsor, jointly with five other sponsors: Huaneng Power International, Inc., China National Nuclear Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., and Changjiang Institute of Survey, Planning, Design and Research under the Changjiang Water Resources Commission. The Company was established upon the approval of the State Economic and Trade Commission on September 23, 2002, under Document No. [2002] 700 on Enterprise Reform, and completed industrial and commercial registration with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce on November 4, 2002. Approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Company publicly issued A-shares to the public by way of offering and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on November 18, 2003.
