Changsha County Longyu Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative

Piaofengshan Village, Kaihui Township, Changsha County, in order to accelerate the process of agricultural industrialization, develop the rural economy, and enrich farmers, introduced a vegetable planting boss from Changsha in 2010, and in 2011 registered and established the Changsha County Longyu Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative, with a registered capital of 10 million yuan. After a year of arduous efforts, the cooperative has begun to take shape, with obvious economic and social benefits. I. Guiding ideology of the cooperative Adhering to the premise of promoting agricultural industrialization and modern agriculture construction, taking the market as the orientation, taking urban-rural integration construction as an opportunity, taking the development of the rural economy and increasing farmers' income as the purpose, and improving the planting technology of pollution-free vegetables and green organic vegetables in rural areas as a means, the cooperative strives to build a garden-style vegetable base and promote the rapid rise of the two benefits. II. Current status of the cooperative At present, 800 mu of fresh vegetables have been planted, of which 750 mu are planted in contiguous areas through land transfer, driving surrounding farmers to plant 50 mu. More than 40 varieties of fresh vegetables have been planted. At present, the daily output of vegetables is 5 tons, reaching about 10 tons at peak times, and the annual output value has reached 10.14 million yuan. The cooperative has set up 16 direct sales outlets and owns two farmers' markets in Furong District and Xingsha of Changsha City, promoting a product direct sales model, reducing intermediate links, and realizing the integration of production, supply, and sales. At present, the vegetables grown by the cooperative have strong competitiveness in the market, and the products are in short supply. At present, more than 6 million yuan has been invested, including the construction of 5,000 meters of farming roads, 3,000 meters of introduction and drainage canals, 65 water pools, 65 fertilizer pools, and the renovation of 10 mountain ponds, increasing water storage capacity and realizing gravity-flow irrigation. III. Development direction and planning of the cooperative The cooperative insists on conscientiously implementing the Party's various principles and policies in rural areas, actively promoting the new form of orderly transfer of rural land use rights, taking the road of base + farmers + market, striving to build a modern vegetable base, and striving to achieve large-scale operation. It plans to build a 2,000-mu standardized vegetable base in three phases, while radiating to the nearby townships of Miluo and Pingjiang counties. In Piaofengshan Village, 500 mu will be planted in the first phase, expanded to 1,000 mu in the second phase, and reach 2,000 mu in the third phase in 2012. In terms of variety development, new varieties with high nutritional quality and high yield will be introduced, and local wild vegetables favored by citizens will be developed. Within three years, the total output value will reach 50 million, 500 rural surplus laborers will be employed locally, and the pure income of local farmers will increase by 5 million yuan per year.
