IT Electronics Eleventh Design & Research Institute Scientific and Technological Engineering Co., Ltd. (EDRI) is one of the first large-scale design institutes in China to have undergone overall restructuring, and is a leading domestic design institute in bioengineering and silicon industry engineering. It is ranked among the top 50 design institutes nationwide. In September 2008, the company was awarded the 'Class A Certificate of Comprehensive Engineering Design Qualification' by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, covering all 21 industries nationwide. In April 2009, it was awarded the 'Grade I Qualification for General Contracting of Housing Construction Projects' by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The Chongqing Branch currently has 56 employees and is a design institute with the 'Comprehensive Class A' engineering design qualification. Since its establishment, the Chongqing Branch has kept pace with the development of high-tech industries and has undertaken design and general contracting projects throughout various districts of Chongqing, covering multiple high-tech fields. It has particularly prominent advantages in microelectronics engineering, polysilicon, photovoltaic industry, optical fiber and cable, liquid crystal display, biopharmaceuticals, mechanical processing and assembly, civil construction, industrial park planning, logistics, engineering construction supervision, and engineering general contracting. The Chongqing Branch has completed a number of major engineering design, supervision, and general contracting projects in the Chongqing area, establishing a good reputation in the industry and winning widespread praise from clients.
