Yindao Petrochemical is a holding subsidiary of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), a joint-stock enterprise with integrated upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, a prominent petrochemical main business, relatively complete sales networks, and listings both domestically and overseas.

Its main business scope includes: industrial investment and investment management; exploration, exploitation, storage and transportation (including pipeline transportation), sales, and comprehensive utilization of petroleum and natural gas; petroleum refining; wholesale of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel; production, sales, storage, and transportation of petrochemical and other chemical products; exploration design, construction, building and installation of petroleum and petrochemical engineering; maintenance and repair of petroleum and petrochemical equipment; manufacturing of mechanical and electrical equipment; research, development, application, and consulting services of technology, information, and alternative energy products.

In 2009, it cooperated with Global Fortune 500 companies to integrate markets and resources, gradually entering the global market.

Currently, oil and gas exploration and development areas span 26 provinces across China, with 100 exploration rights covering an area of 800,000 square kilometers, and 105 mining rights covering an area of 10,000 square kilometers. Its business is spread across 20 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Nanchang, with 2,500 employees.

In 2013, it began a new voyage to build an energy and chemical company.
