BMTS Technology, referred to as BMTS, is a global technology leader in turbocharging systems, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The company was originally jointly established by Bosch Group and Mahle Group from Germany. Since its inception in 2008, BMTS has won the trust of global automakers such as Volkswagen, General Motors, and BMW, thanks to its first-class R&D capabilities, advanced production technologies, and mature quality management systems. As a technology leader in the global turbocharging field, BMTS has established production bases in Europe, Asia, and North America (Blaichach, Germany; St. Michael, Austria; Shanghai and Shandong, China; and Ramos Arizpe, Mexico), and has also set up a sales and application office in Detroit, USA. Recently, BMTS confirmed that its third largest plant in Europe will be located in Serbia, a project strongly supported by the President of Serbia. Meanwhile, BMTS's Mexico plant will be completed and put into production in June this year, and the construction of its third largest plant in China is also underway. BMTS already holds over 600 patents and showcased four major turbocharging "black technologies" at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, attracting widespread attention from the media and the automotive industry. BMTS will further intensify its R&D efforts, having established a China Technology Center in Beijing in 2018, and is conducting strategic cooperation with the Turbocharging Research Laboratory of Tsinghua University to maintain its leading position in next-generation turbocharging technology. BMTS Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., as the China headquarters of BMTS, was established in 2013 and is located in Shanghai Fengxian Industrial Park, with nearly 400 employees. The company has a local R&D center, engineering and technical personnel, and is equipped with advanced R&D facilities such as engine test benches, laboratory equipment, and high-temperature gas test benches. Since 2015, leveraging highly modern production lines and a local expert team, the company has successfully launched multiple customer projects into mass production, with a target annual capacity of 2 million turbochargers.
