Shenzhen iStem Regenerative Medicine Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. (iStem for short) was established in October 2012 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. It is China's first biomedical high-tech enterprise specializing in basic research on hematopoietic stem cells, clinical application research, and stem cell technical support services. It relies on the Academician Workstation of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine of Jinan University.

iStem has a professional technical advisory team led by multiple experts and domestic and international scholars with outstanding achievements in the stem cell field. It has an innovative R&D team composed of returnee postdoctoral fellows and Ph.D. holders who graduated from the Masonic Cancer Research Center of the University of Minnesota, the Medical Center of Stony Brook University of the State University of New York, the Mayo Clinic, the University of Cambridge, and the Sanger Institute in the United Kingdom, as well as master's degree holders in molecular biology-related majors. The average age of technical R&D personnel is 29.
