Shenzhen Mingde Experimental School

Shenzhen Mingde Experimental School was established in September 2013. It is a twelve-year public reform experimental school jointly run by the Futian District People's Government of Shenzhen and the Tencent Charity Foundation. The school implements a principal responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. The school operates independently in accordance with the law, adhering to the philosophy that "children's health is educational quality, children's sunshine is educational quality, and children's development is educational quality." It focuses on students' lifelong sustainable development, is committed to the organic integration of the essence of Eastern and Western education, and cultivates a new generation with "Mingde integrity and free personality," as well as future talents with Chinese sentiment, an international perspective, modern civic awareness, and creative ability who can participate in international competition and cooperation.
Teachers with doctoral and master's degrees account for more than 70% of the school's teachers. Among them, there are 4 doctoral degree holders and 68 master's degree holders. Among them, there are 2 recipients of special allowances from the State Council; 1 recipient of the National May 1 Labor Medal; 1 recipient of the Guangdong May 1 Labor Medal; 1 national advanced individual in teacher ethics; 2 national outstanding teachers; 3 special-grade teachers; 2 provincial model workers; 2 candidates for the "Famous Teachers" training program of Guangdong Province's new round of the Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project; 1 "Top Ten Young Teachers" of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government; 1 of the first batch of "Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teachers" of the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau; 1 of the first batch of "Famous Teacher Studio Hosts" of the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau; and 1 "Shenzhen Famous Teacher."
The school is committed to building a Chinese school with independent thought, distinctive personality, and deep affection from teachers and students, recognition from parents, social approval, and influence. Since its establishment two years ago, under the leadership of Principal Cheng Hongbing, the school has taken reform and innovation as its responsibility, forged ahead, and achieved remarkable results in curriculum reform.
The development of Mingde has received attention and support from all sectors of society. Within one and a half years, major media across the country have reported on our school 96 times, including 10 in-depth long-form comprehensive reports and more than 30 reports involving curriculum reform.
