北京建院约翰马丁国际建筑设计有限公司成立于1994年，前身为北京金田建筑设计有限公司，2008年对北京金田建筑设计有限公司进行战略改组，2010年北京市建筑设计研究院有限公司引进美国约翰马丁结构工程设计集团作为战略投资人，2010年更名为北京建院约翰马丁国际建筑设计有限公司.2021年公司由中外合作企业变更为法人独资企业（股东为北京市建筑设计研究院有限公司），具备住建部颁发甲级工程设计证书。
