Founded in Shanghai in 2003, Croton Media is dedicated to discovering and achieving highly-rated TV dramas. After more than a decade of development, Croton Media has accumulated 156 TV dramas totaling 4,860 episodes, making it one of the companies in China engaged in TV drama research, planning, production, and distribution.

Under Croton Media, there are 8 subsidiaries including Shanghai Juku Culture Communication, Shanghai Syndicate Film and Television, Shanghai Haoju Film and Television, Shanghai Juxin Culture, Shanghai Croton Film and Television, Shanghai Haogushi Film and Television, Shanghai Kuanhou Culture Communication, and Daju Media, as well as 5 studios: Blue Whale Studio, New World Studio, Yishi Studio, Weimu Xing Tian Studio, and Eggplant Film Studio. It has also signed contracts with Zhang Qian Studio and Lvying Studio, with more than 320 employees.

By establishing a research and development team of over 100 people, Croton Media conducts long-term in-depth research on domestic and international TV drama data, actively develops quantitative analysis software tools for TV dramas, and forms a TV evaluation and optimization system. It strives to standardize and professionalize the creation and production process of TV dramas, making every step predictable, controllable, replicable, and verifiable, achieving a harmonious dance between experience and data, ensuring high-quality decision-making and efficient management.

In 2013, to achieve high-level growth and leapfrog development, Croton Media formed a strong strategic partnership with Huace Film and TV, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huace Film and TV, the first listed company in China's TV drama industry.
