This transaction significantly expanded CICC's scale, achieving deeper coverage of large, small, and medium-sized enterprises as well as institutional and individual clients, and building a more balanced business structure in both primary and secondary markets. In 2020, CICC was successfully listed on the Main Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

CICC is headquartered in Beijing, with multiple subsidiaries in mainland China and branches in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Jinan.
