Optics Valley Startup Coffee was founded in January 2013. With the support of the Hubei Provincial Government and Wuhan Municipal Government, it was jointly invested and established by Lei Jun, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, and Li Ruxiong, Chairman of Optics Valley Software. Optics Valley Startup Coffee adopts Internet thinking in its operation and management, aiming to build a public crowd innovation service platform. It has established four core platforms: a communication platform, an incubation platform, a training platform, and a venture investment platform. The company focuses on incubation and investment in the mobile Internet, e-commerce, and software industries. In March 2015, it was rated by the Ministry of Science and Technology as one of the first batch of innovative incubators, and was awarded the title of National Small and Micro Enterprise Service Demonstration Base by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Relying on the founders' deep background in the Internet, software, and intelligent manufacturing industries, Optics Valley Startup Coffee provides entrepreneurs with one-stop comprehensive solutions across the entrepreneurial industry chain, including entrepreneurial guidance, angel investment, and resource export, aiming to build an efficient and high-benefit ecological environment where capital and entrepreneurs win together, and aspiring to become a high-speed engine driving the development of China's "dual innovation." Optics Valley Startup Coffee has currently established 7 chain stores in Wuhan, including the Optics Valley Capital Building store, Financial Harbor store, Future Science and Technology City store, Biomedical Park store, and Wuhan University Luojia store, building a "dual innovation" communication platform; it has established 7 small and micro incubators, including the Capital Building College Student Entrepreneurship Special Zone, Tencent Entrepreneurship Base (Wuhan), Financial Harbor College Student Entrepreneurship Special Zone, Software Park College Student Entrepreneurship Special Zone, SBI Entrepreneurship Street College Student Entrepreneurship Special Zone, and Luojia Entrepreneurship Special Zone, creating an innovative incubation platform; it has established training platforms such as Huachuang College, Qingtong College, and Optics Valley Entrepreneurship College; it has established an investment platform centered on more than 100 venture capital institutions, including Xiaomi Venture Capital Fund, Shunwei Fund, and Optics Valley Coffee Angel Fund; and it founded the Wuhan Angel Investors Association (abbreviated as Yangtze Angel Club) with more than 500 members, chaired by Li Ruxiong. In May 2015, the Chengdu Municipal Government introduced Optics Valley Startup Coffee to Chengdu. It has currently established 7 chain incubators in Pidu District, Tianfu New Area, Qingyang District, Jinniu District, High-tech Zone, and Chenghua District, completed the renovation of 50,000 square meters of innovation and entrepreneurship carriers, and more than 200 enterprises have entered incubation. Optics Valley Startup Coffee is expected to establish 15 innovative incubators in Chengdu, with a carrier area exceeding 100,000 square meters. Optics Valley Startup Coffee has currently settled in Xi'an, Hefei, Haikou, Changsha, and other places, and is establishing service windows in Silicon Valley in the United States, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other places.
