Company Profile
Wuhan Aoke Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liaoning Aoke Chemical Co., Ltd. (stock code: 300082). Founded on June 28, 2013, with registered capital of 120 million yuan, the project is divided into Phase I and Phase II, covering an area of 148 mu, with a planned investment of 384 million yuan. The Wuhan Aoke project uses ethylene oxide from the 800,000-ton ethylene facility of Sinopec-SK (Wuhan) Petrochemical Company as its main raw material, with polyether for water-reducing agents derived from ethylene oxide as its leading product, and green low-carbon ethylene oxide-derived fine chemical new materials as its industrial development direction. The company is located in the northeast of Wuhan Chemical Industry Park, bordering Wusha Avenue to the east, 3,800 meters in a straight line from Yangluo New Port on the Yangtze River, the golden waterway. It is connected to Hugang Open Channel and Hugang Road to the south, and adjacent to Outer Ring South Road and Wuhan Ring Expressway to the north, 3,200 meters from Sinopec's 800,000-ton ethylene facility. The company is within 5 kilometers of expressways, freight terminals, and railway freight stations, giving it outstanding logistics and location advantages.
In the beautiful river city of Wuhan, known as "the center of the nation and the thoroughfare of nine provinces," Aoke Co., Ltd. signed an admission agreement with Wuhan Chemical Industry Park on April 18, 2013, confirming the construction of a Phase I project with an annual output of 120,000 tons of ethylene oxide-derived fine chemical new materials. The project held its groundbreaking ceremony on June 28, 2013, achieved mechanical completion on August 28, 2014, and was successfully started up on the first attempt on November 28, 2014.
Aoke Co., Ltd.'s main business is polycarboxylate water-reducing agents. In 2016, its total output was 460,000, with a domestic market share of 45%, making it a major domestic manufacturer of polycarboxylate water-reducing agents. The Wuhan company's Phase I project produced 50,073 tons in 2015, 56,183 tons in 2016, and 61,896 tons in 2017, an increase of 10% over the previous year. The joint-stock company is currently planning the construction of the Wuhan Phase II project, which is expected to be completed during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
Planned Project Profile
Project Name: 120,000 tons/year Ethylene Oxide-Derived Fine Chemical New Materials Project
I. Polycarboxylate-based High-Efficiency Water-Reducing Agent (60,000 tons/year)
As an important concrete chemical admixture, high-efficiency water-reducing agent is one of the pillar products of new building materials and an important way to achieve high performance concrete. Compared with other types of water-reducing agents, polycarboxylate-based high-efficiency water-reducing agents have super-dispersing properties and can inhibit concrete slump loss, making them a focus of water-reducing agent development and research both domestically and internationally. With unique advantages such as low dosage, high water-reducing and strength-enhancing rates, and small slump loss, polycarboxylate water-reducing agents have become high-performance water-reducing agents with strong performance, safety, and green environmental protection.
II. Polyethylene Glycol (20,000 tons/year)
Polyethylene glycol has excellent lubricity, moisture retention, and dispersibility, and is widely used in industries such as photovoltaics, chemical fibers, rubber, plastics, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, paints, electroplating, pesticides, metal processing, and food processing.
III. Fatty Alcohol Ether (40,000 tons/year)
Fatty alcohol ether has advantages such as hard water resistance, low foaming, good low-temperature washing performance, and good biodegradability, and is mainly used as an active raw material for synthetic detergents.
