Wuhan New City Hospital is located in Yangluo Economic Development Zone. It is a secondary general hospital integrating seven major functions: medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, healthcare, rehabilitation, and emergency care, with technical support from provincial and municipal expert teams. It is a designated hospital for Wuhan employee (resident) medical insurance and the New Rural Cooperative Medical Insurance, and is the emergency and traffic accident coordinated treatment center of Yangluo Development Zone. The hospital has a building area of 23,000 square meters and has 20 clinical and medical technology departments, including the Emergency Department, Internal Medicine Department, Surgery Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Rehabilitation Department, Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, ENT Department, Dermatology Department, Medical Cosmetology Department, Anesthesiology Department, Radiology Department, Laboratory Department, Echocardiography Department, and Central Sterile Supply Department. The inpatient department has 8 ward areas in total, with 200 authorized beds (to be increased to 480 in Phase II), and can receive 100,000 outpatient visits per year.
The hospital has invested heavily in purchasing a series of supporting advanced medical equipment, including multi-slice spiral CT, flat-panel direct digital radiography (DR), imported Philips four-dimensional color ultrasound, fully automated biochemical analyzer, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring system, and ambulatory ECG monitoring system. In Phase II, new superconducting magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) operating rooms will soon be put into use.
The hospital has complete service functions, with hotel-standard wards throughout the hospital, central air conditioning for centralized heating and cooling, and 24-hour hot and cold water in the wards, providing patients with a comfortable and elegant medical environment.
