Founded in 1958, WISCO General Hospital is a national public Grade 3A hospital that grew up alongside WISCO Group, the eldest son of the Republic's steel industry. In 1996, WISCO General Hospital was rated as a national Grade 3A general hospital; in 2013, China Resources Group and WISCO Group, two central state-owned enterprises, joined hands, and the hospital underwent a magnificent transformation, being renamed China Resources WISCO General Hospital, continuing to write a new chapter in healthcare. In 2023, China Resources WISCO General Hospital passed the national Grade 3A general hospital review. As a national public Grade 3A hospital run by a central state-owned enterprise, it demonstrated the hospital's excellence and refinement in medical technology, service quality, and management level. In the same year, the Second Staff Hospital of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation (abbreviated as "WISCO No.2 Hospital"), founded in 1982, as a large comprehensive Grade 3 hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, scientific research, and teaching, was officially incorporated into the management system of China Resources WISCO General Hospital.
