Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in October 2007. The company is located in Youyou Century Plaza, South Yanggao Road, Pudong, Shanghai. Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary invested by Pfeiffer Vacuum GmbH, Germany. The parent company, Pfeiffer Vacuum, is a manufacturer of vacuum components with a history of over 120 years. In 1958, Pfeiffer invented the turbomolecular pump, establishing a remarkable milestone in the vacuum industry. Today, the company's product range covers various rotary vane pumps, dry pumps, roots pumps, turbomolecular pumps, helium mass spectrometer leak detectors, vacuum gauges, quadrupole mass spectrometers, as well as other vacuum accessories and comprehensive vacuum systems. To provide customers with better vacuum solutions, the headquarters acquired Trinos GmbH in Germany in 2009; at the end of 2010, Pfeiffer Vacuum's German headquarters acquired Adixen, the vacuum technology division of Alcatel-Lucent based in France.
