Founded in 1839 and headquartered in Melsungen, Germany, B. Braun is a family-owned enterprise with a history of over 180 years. As one of the world's professional suppliers of medical equipment, pharmaceutical products, surgical instruments, and hemodialysis products, B. Braun Group has branches in 64 countries globally, with over 63,000 employees, and achieved global sales of over 8.8 billion euros in 2023.

In 1985, B. Braun Group officially started its business in China. After more than 30 years of development, B. Braun has nine wholly-owned legal entities in China. The Greater China headquarters is located in Shanghai, with branch offices in major cities such as Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Wuhan, covering business across more than 70 cities nationwide. It has also invested in large-scale production bases in Suzhou (Jiangsu) and Zibo (Shandong). Currently, we have nearly 2,000 employees in China, with sales continuing to grow over the years, and have been certified as a "Top Employer China" for eight consecutive years.

In June 2004, B. Braun Medical (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Suzhou Industrial Park. The plant covers an area of 65,500 square meters with a registered capital of 33 million US dollars, successively establishing plants for large-volume parenterals, surgical instruments, cardiovascular products, and active medical devices. In 2014, B. Braun established B. Braun Medical (Shandong) Co., Ltd. in Zibo City, Shandong Province, covering an area of 86,000 square meters, mainly engaged in the production of medical devices and import trade of medical device products.

Adhering to the core value of "Sharing Expertise," B. Braun Group established the Aesculap Academy, a physical medical professional education and training center, in Suzhou in 2015, dedicated to medical talent development and continuing medical education. In July 2020, the Aesculap Academy China obtained the "Foreign-Invested Operational Vocational Skills Training License" from the Jiangsu Free Trade Zone, becoming the only foreign-funded training institution in Jiangsu Free Trade Zone with both a business license and a training license, creating favorable conditions for strengthening official in-depth cooperation with medical associations and societies.
