Jingzhi Electronics (Hefei) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AUO, was registered and established in April 2010. It is mainly engaged in the design, R&D, and manufacturing of liquid crystal display modules, LCD monitors, and other new-type display devices, as well as LCD TVs, optoelectronic peripheral products, and related components and parts. The company plans a total investment of 1.05 billion RMB, with a total construction area of 180,000 square meters, aiming to form a production base integrated with LCD panel modules and upstream/downstream chains. The company is expected to start production in 2011, with a planned total workforce of 9,000 people. With the establishment of this Central China base, Jingzhi Electronics will complete its comprehensive TV solutions across Central China (Hefei), South China (Xiamen), East China (Kunshan), and West China (Mianyang).
