Sony Precision Devices (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. (SPDH) is the first wholly-owned enterprise invested by Sony Corporation in South China. Located in Huitai Industrial Park, Zhongkai High-tech Development Zone, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, the company was established on November 20, 1995, with a total investment of USD 163.53 million and a total workforce of 16,000 employees. The factory covers an area of 70,000 square meters, with dormitory area of approximately 25,438 square meters and green area of about 30,000 square meters. With an annual export sales of approximately USD 8.8 billion, it has become an important production base for Sony's optical pickup heads and one of the largest optical production bases in the world. Its products include precision electronic components such as optical pickup heads and liquid crystal displays.
