Founded in 1998 and located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, the company is a subsidiary of Chroma ATE Inc., a publicly listed company in Taiwan. The company is mainly divided into four business units: the Measurement Instrument Business Unit, the Semiconductor Business Unit, the Integrated System Business Unit, and the Manufacturing Information Management System Business Unit. Each business unit is primarily engaged in sales and technical services. The company provides automatic test solutions for power electronics, new energy electric vehicles, battery testing, flat panel displays, LED/lighting, solar photovoltaics, semiconductors/IC, and more.

Chroma Electronics currently has its own factory building of over 2,000 square meters and serves as the group's South China headquarters. It has established long-term and sound cooperative relationships with multiple university laboratories, government research institutes, organizations, and bureaus of metrology.
