RDA Microelectronics was founded in April 2004 in Shanghai with funding from the world's premier Private Equity Fund - Warburg Pincus. With its headquarter in Shanghai and an Office in Beijing, RDA focus in development and marketing of RF ICs. After several years' rapid growth and concentrated development efforts, RDA has become the leading RF IC company in China.

RDA has built a highly efficient team that has expertise in Analog and RF Circuit, Digital RF, Advanced Transceiver architecture, GaAs based PA Device, RF Front End Modules and DSP Assisted RF Technologies. RDA's product offerings include SCDMA, PHS, TDSCDMA, GSM/GPRS, TD-SCDMA and GSM dual mode transceivers, and PAs, Blue Tooth PA and FM Tuner. RDA has the largest RF IC development team and the most advanced RF IC products among all China based RF IC companies.

RDA Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was funded by the US-based top venture capital investor Warburg Pincus. Headquartered in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai, with a research and design branch in Beijing, we are primarily dedicated to the development of RF integrated circuit transceivers and power amplifiers (PAs) for wireless communication terminals. We have established a leading RF and mixed-signal integrated circuit R&D center and successfully launched RF chips for mobile terminals including SCDMA, PHS, 2G/2.5G (GSM/GPRS), 3G (TD-SCDMA), as well as RF chips for communication fields such as FM, DVBS, TMBT, and Bluetooth. Our core team consists of senior IC design talents returned from overseas, possessing strong R&D capabilities and expertise in both CMOS RF technology and GaAs PA technology, with over 20 internationally advanced invention patents or core technologies with Chinese independent intellectual property rights.
