Lepu (Beijing) Medical Apparatus Co., Ltd. was founded in 1999, with its headquarters located in Changping Park of Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing. The company is a high-tech enterprise with central enterprise controlling shares, jointly invested by Chinese and foreign parties, engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of implantable and interventional diagnostic and therapeutic devices and equipment for cardiovascular diseases, including coronary drug-eluting stents, congenital heart defect occluders, heart valves, and angiography machines. It was among the first batch of 28 enterprises listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's ChiNext board in 2009. Currently, the company has 8 subsidiaries domestically and internationally, and its products are clinically applied in more than 1,200 cardiac diagnosis and treatment centers across the country. It has developed into a high-end medical product industry group for cardiovascular implantable and interventional diagnostic and therapeutic devices and equipment in China.

The company researches and develops high-end implantable and interventional products covering five major areas: coronary heart disease, structural heart disease, cardiac rhythm, pre- and post-operative diagnosis and treatment equipment, achieving a series of research results at domestic and international levels. It is the largest domestic manufacturer of drug-eluting stent products with multiple technical features, the largest artificial heart valve manufacturer in Asia, a pioneer in domestic cardiac pacemakers, the market leader in domestic cardiac occluders and vascular angiography machines, and the first domestic enterprise to develop renal artery radiofrequency ablation catheters.
Since its inception, Lepu Company has successively undertaken dozens of major national projects, including demonstration projects for high-tech industrialization from the National Development and Reform Commission, the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Science and Technology Support Program.
