Gas & Power Group

CNOOC Gas & Power Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gas & Power Group") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), responsible for the unified operation and management of CNOOC's natural gas and power generation business. It has core competitive advantages in LNG resource coordination, facility layout, core technology, industrial chain operation, and business models. Its business scope covers LNG resource trading, LNG receiving terminals, natural gas pipeline networks, gas-fired power plants, city gas, vehicle and vessel refueling, technology research and development, and emergency support. Currently, the Gas & Power Group has completed and put into operation 5 LNG receiving terminals with a total reception and processing capacity of 29.6 million tons per year; it holds controlling stakes in 7 gas-fired power plants with a total installed capacity of 6.78 million kilowatts, and is a core member of CNOOC's EPC general contracting consortium. Among them, the CNOOC Yancheng "Green Energy Port" project, currently under construction and independently designed and built by China, is the largest liquefied natural gas reserve base in China. This project boasts 6 liquefied natural gas storage tanks with the world's largest single-tank capacity of 270,000 cubic meters each.
