Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as SZAD), established in 1982, has developed along with the growth of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, evolving from a regional architectural design institute into an integrated urban and rural construction service provider rooted in Shenzhen, expanding across China, and serving the world. It holds multiple qualifications, including Grade A for architectural industry (building engineering), Grade A for urban and rural planning compilation, Grade A for engineering consulting (architecture), Grade B for municipal industry (water supply engineering, drainage engineering), and Grade B for landscape architecture engineering design special projects. It is among the first batch of "whole process engineering consulting pilot enterprises" designated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Its service scope includes architectural engineering design, urban planning compilation, municipal engineering design, landscape architecture engineering design, engineering consulting, construction engineering supervision, architectural science and technology research, and the promotion and application of new building materials and technologies. It has established branch offices in Chongqing, Beijing, Wuhan, Hefei, Chengdu, Kunming, Xi'an, Hainan, Dongguan, Jiangxi, Tianjin, and other locations, with a high-quality professional team of more than 3,000 people. Over more than 30 years, SZAD has provided over 9,500 domestic and international building engineering services to national and local party and government agencies, enterprises and public institutions, and the "Belt and Road" initiative, among others, with more than 900 projects winning national, provincial, and municipal excellent engineering design awards, and more than 80 projects winning provincial and municipal excellent planning and design awards.
