Nanhai Oils & Fats Industries (Chiwan) Co., Ltd. is an oils and fats business company invested and established in China by Yihai Kerry Investments Co., Ltd., under the Singapore-based Kuok Brothers Group. It is currently one of the largest*** oils and fats production enterprises in China.
The company is located in Chiwan, Shekou. Construction broke ground in May 1988, and the company officially opened on January 8, 1990. After more than ten years of entrepreneurship and development, cumulative investment has exceeded RMB 500 million.
The company's small-package edible oils include brands such as "Arawana", "Flower Flag", "Yuanbao", and "Carp", among which "Arawana" has become a leading brand in China's small-package edible oils. Specialty oils and fats include 5 brands and more than 100 specifications, including shortening, margarine, hydrogenated oils, and others. Many large multinational companies, including Nestlé of Switzerland, Danone (Group) of France, and KFC of the United States, have established stable customer relationships with the company.
In 1994, the company successfully passed the international and domestic dual certification of the ISO9002 quality management and quality assurance system by Norway's DNV and China's CQC, making it an enterprise in China's grain, oil, and food industry to receive this honor. In 2003, it passed the HACCP food safety system, and is currently introducing ISO14000 environmental management system certification.
In 2009, the "Arawana Rice Industry Chain" won the "2009 First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association". In 2011, Yihai Kerry and its flagship brand Arawana became the exclusive supplier of grain, oil, and food for the Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade.
