Happy Underwater World

Chongqing Happy Underwater World Scenic Area is located in Building 2, Enterprise World, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, adjacent to Hualongqiao Station of Rail Transit Line 9. The project covers a total area of approximately 10,000 square meters. It was developed and is operated and managed by Chongqing Happy Underwater World Tourism Development Co., Ltd. since 2015. It is Chongqing's first high-quality large-scale oceanarium integrating tourism, learning, shopping, and entertainment. At the same time, it is also a new children's education and entertainment brand created by Chongqing Liangjiang Ocean Tourism Group Co., Ltd. under the "Happy Ocean" IP.
The venue underwent a full upgrade in January 2023. Centered on the brand positioning of "Ocean Museum" and combining the five major elements of "science popularization, fantasy, technology, experience, and performance," it has created products in multiple forms, including marine science popularization education, children's amusement, and parent-child interaction. The venue holds nearly 3,000 tons of water and displays hundreds of species and nearly a thousand marine organisms, including rare marine animals such as penguins, sea lions, seals, and sharks. The venue includes multiple distinctive themed exhibition areas, such as Ancient Ocean, Amazon Rainforest, Fun Seabed, Underwater Tunnel, Great Barrier Reef, Dream Jellyfish Palace, and Polar Pavilion. With the purpose of marine science popularization culture for children and adolescents and with marine animal science popularization display as the core, the venue integrates animal display, marine science popularization, parent-child experience, and interactive performances as its themes, covering multiple entertainment modes such as tourism, leisure, and parent-child vacation, providing visitors with a richer and more colorful new visiting experience.
Since opening, it has been awarded multiple honorary titles, including Chongqing Science Popularization Base, Chongqing Yuzhong District Science Popularization Education Base, Chongqing Marine Public Welfare Disability Assistance Demonstration Base, and Chongqing Youth Social Practice Experience Base.
