- 2013: WeLab was founded.
- 2014: Shenzhen headquarters was established.
- January 2015: Series A funding of RMB 130 million.
- January 2016: Series B funding of RMB 1 billion.
- September 2016: Registered users reached 10 million.
- November 2017: Strategic financing of RMB 1.5 billion.
- January 2018: Financial leasing license approved in Zhuhai Hengqin.
- September 2018: WeLab established a joint venture "AWDA" with Indonesia's Astra Group; B2B solution partners exceeded 100.
- October 2018: Ranked 23rd globally in KPMG's Fintech100.
- April 2019: WeLab was granted a Hong Kong virtual banking license.
- September 2019: Registered users exceeded 40 million; B2B solution partners exceeded 250; financing guarantee license approved in Beihai, Guangxi.
- November 2019: Won KPMG Fintech100.
- December 2019: Series C strategic financing of RMB 1.1 billion, ranking among the top ten unicorns in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
- July 2020: Hong Kong virtual bank WeLab Bank (Hui Li Bank) commenced operations.
- March 2021: Received approximately RMB 500 million investment from Allianz Group, with strategic cooperation reached.
