Zhaoxin is a state-controlled company established in 2013, headquartered in Shanghai, with subsidiaries in Beijing, Xi'an, and other places. It has a large number of full-time R&D personnel with master's and doctoral degrees. Zhaoxin masters the core technologies for the research and development of self-developed general-purpose processors and their system platform chips, fully covering key areas such as microarchitecture and implementation technologies, and has built a sound intellectual property system. Up to now, it has applied for more than 1,600 patents and obtained more than 1,400 patents.

Since its establishment, Zhaoxin has successfully developed and mass-produced multiple general-purpose processor products, forming two product series: the "Kaixian" PC/embedded processors and the "Kaisheng" server processors. Product performance has been continuously improved to reach the mainstream level of the industry, providing an excellent user experience with outstanding industry application results. Zhaoxin has won honors such as the "2024 China IC Design Achievement Award - China Excellent IC Design Team", "2023 National May Day Labor Award", "2023 Xinchuang Industry TOP 100", "2022 ICSC Innovation Enterprise", and has been included in the Silicon 100 list for three consecutive years.
