They established the company's headquarters in 2011 in Chicago, the center of the derivatives industry and the options capital of the world. Today, Akuna is proud to have additional offices in Sydney, Shanghai, London, and Boston. The Shanghai office was founded in 2014, and our Shanghai team is currently mainly responsible for the development and research of connection, strategies, pricing, etc. for international market trading, and is also actively expanding into other Asian markets. In Shanghai, the hardware and software development teams closely collaborate on technology to develop high-performance, low-latency solutions that are highly scalable, ensuring our trading strategies are applied to international trading as quickly as possible; the quantitative team focuses on algorithm and strategy research and optimization.
