In July 2018, Burning Rock's self-developed 'Human EGFR/ALK/BRAF/KRAS Gene Mutation Combined Detection Kit (Reversible Terminator Sequencing Method)' was approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) as an oncology NGS detection kit*, a milestone in the in vitro diagnostics field. Additionally, the 'Human 9-Gene Mutation Combined Detection Kit (Reversible Terminator Sequencing Method)' (trade name 'Burning Rock CDx™') is the company's second multi-gene tumor mutation detection kit approved based on high-throughput sequencing technology and meeting companion diagnostic standards.
Burning Rock's laboratory in Guangzhou, China, has passed the technical review for 'High-Throughput Sequencing Laboratory' issued by the Guangdong Clinical Laboratory Center and has obtained CLIA, CAP, and ISO15189 laboratory quality system accreditations. The laboratory has continuously passed approximately 200 external quality assessments organized by domestic and international institutions, with cumulative testing of over 460,000 samples. Burning Rock's laboratory in California, USA, has also obtained CLIA and CAP accreditations. Burning Rock's oncology NGS products have been widely recognized by physicians and patients and have withstood clinical validation. As of June 2022, the company has published nearly 400 peer-reviewed articles with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 2,580.
