西安市特种设备检验检测院是西安市人民政府依法设立、国家核准的特种设备法定检验检测机构，隶属于西安市质量技术监督局。主要职责是负责全市锅炉、压力容器、压力管道、气瓶、电梯、起重机械、场（厂）内机动车辆等特种设备的监督检验和定期检验；锅炉介质检测和安全阀的定期校验工作；金属结构件的无损探伤和型式试验、检验、校验工作。
