Jiangsu Zhongshe Group Co., Ltd., formerly Wuxi Transportation Planning and Design Research Institute, was founded in October 1986, restructured into a mixed-ownership enterprise in April 2004, established Jiangsu Zhongshe Group in October 2010, and was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on June 20, 2017, with the stock abbreviation: Zhongshe Co., Ltd., and stock code: 002883. In August 2022, it became a state-controlled group company under Wuxi Transportation Industry Group Co., Ltd.
The company is committed to the mission of "Making cities more livable, making the world more accessible," and focuses on four business areas: "transportation, municipal engineering, architecture, and environment." It provides whole-process consulting and engineering general contracting services, including planning consultation, survey and design, testing and inspection, engineering supervision, and project management. It holds Class A qualifications in multiple industries such as highway, municipal, architecture, and landscape architecture, and is one of the few survey and design enterprises in China with both highway and municipal Class A qualifications.
Over the past 30 years, the company has been dedicated to urbanization development and the construction of modern integrated transportation systems, capable of providing overall technical services for modern urban construction and development.
