Wuxi Metro Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuxi Metro Group"), formerly known as Wuxi Rail Transit Development Co., Ltd., was established in 2008 and reorganized into a group company in 2012, coming under the supervision of the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The group continuously builds a diversified, multi-level business layout covering rail transit planning and construction, operation services, station-city integrated development, and resource management. It has become a comprehensive large-scale state-owned enterprise.

Wuxi Metro Group, with the mission of "building a first-class metro and creating an operation model," has completed the first and second rounds of rail transit construction in Wuxi, with an operating mileage of 112 kilometers, propelling Wuxi into the era of metro network operation. It has won numerous honors including the National Quality Project Gold Award, Luban Award, and Locomotive Award. In 2024, with the official opening of Line S1, Wuxi Metro has entered a new stage of "five lines under construction and five lines in operation."
