I. Unit Introduction Changjiang Chongqing Waterway Engineering Bureau is affiliated with Changjiang Waterway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. It currently has fixed assets of nearly 1 billion yuan and holds a Special Grade Qualification for General Contracting of Port and Waterway Engineering Construction, a First Grade Qualification for General Contracting of Municipal Public Engineering Construction, and a Grade A License for Surveying and Mapping and Design, among other qualifications issued by the Ministry of Construction. It possesses various nationally leading specialized waterborne construction equipment and a large number of shore machinery. Its three core construction technology brands—waterborne grab dredging, waterway regulation, and underwater drilling and blasting—enjoy a high reputation nationwide. It has construction capabilities in multiple categories and fields including waterway, navigation affairs, municipal engineering, roads and bridges, water conservancy, and geological disaster treatment. Our bureau was established in September 1953 and was one of the first regularized professional waterway regulation teams organized by New China to comprehensively harness and utilize the Chuanjiang River. For more than half a century, our bureau has regulated over 200 rapids, shoals, and dangerous shoals of various types along the Chuanjiang River, turning the thousand-li Chuanjiang "natural moat" into a thoroughfare and making outstanding contributions to the Yangtze River shipping industry. At the same time, our bureau has actively participated in waterway regulation in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, successively completing a large number of key waterway regulation tasks, and has become the undisputed main force in the field of Yangtze River waterway regulation. Since the reform and opening up, our bureau has leveraged its professional and technical advantages, focusing on its main business while diversifying operations, adhering to a market-oriented approach, and gradually developed from a single waterway regulation construction unit into a comprehensive professional construction team, possessing nationally first-class technical strength and construction capabilities in multiple fields and categories such as waterway regulation, coastal dredging, and municipal roads and bridges. Over the years, our bureau has taken ensuring the smooth flow of the Yangtze River waterway as its sacred duty and serving economic and social development as the path to invigorating and strengthening the bureau. While ensuring the successful completion of main stream waterway maintenance tasks of the Yangtze River, it has actively undertaken various port, waterway, wharf, and municipal road and bridge projects externally, with footprints covering nearly 20 provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and more than 40 large and medium-sized cities and special economic zones across the country. In addition, relying on its technical advantages, our bureau has actively expanded into overseas markets, successively undertaking waterway regulation and port wharf projects in countries and regions such as Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Pakistan, and has won widespread praise from owners and clients with excellent project quality and a 100% qualification rate.
