Zhongheng Design Group Co., Ltd. (formerly Suzhou Industrial Park Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.) was founded in 1995, with a registered capital of 243.7 million RMB. It is one of the first builders of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park, and has been a full participant, witness, and practitioner throughout the process. On December 31, 2014, the company was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming the first IPO-listed company in the domestic architectural design field.
The company is a national high-tech enterprise and is also recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission as the province's first service innovation demonstration enterprise in the architectural design industry. It has been rated as China's most valuable architectural design institution, a creative enterprise in the national survey and design industry, and has won multiple honors over the years, including advanced units in quality management and credible units in Jiangsu Province's survey and design industry. According to the ranking by the Jiangsu Provincial Survey and Design Association, since 2010, Zhongheng Design has consistently ranked first in business scale among architectural design enterprises in the province.
Currently, the company has more than 2,100 employees, mainly providing three core services in the architectural field: engineering design, general engineering contracting, engineering supervision, and management. Its scope spans the entire industry chain, covering eight major areas: urban planning, urban design, architectural design, landscape design, interior design, engineering supervision, engineering management, and general engineering contracting. It is capable of providing full lifecycle technical services in line with international practices to clients both domestically and internationally. Its market coverage currently extends to all provinces and cities across the country.
By 2016, the company's engineering design projects had won more than 314 excellent design awards at the national, ministerial, and provincial levels, establishing a strong brand influence. Several projects have been certified with 'Three-Star Architectural Design Label Certification' and U.S. LEED Gold certification. The company has strong professional advantages in planning and design, scheme creation, complex calculation and analysis, collaborative design and integration across disciplines, deepening of detailed nodes, and research and application of steel structure technology, particularly in modern industrial buildings, large urban complexes, super high-rise buildings, creative and technology parks, and cultural, educational, and health buildings. It is at an advanced level in green and energy-saving applications and ecological design.
