Archimedes (Shanghai) Media Co., Ltd., established in June 2014, was invested by Shanghai Oriental Broadcasting Center (ERC), which is affiliated with Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and Shanghai Culture, Radio, Film and Television Group. After months of development, it was officially registered in August 2015. Its launched internet radio app, Archimedes Internet Radio, which operates with broadcasting rules, provides global users with personalized recommendations for high-quality radio programs 24/7. Meanwhile, it uses new methods to subvert traditional broadcasting, reshaping production, distribution, and content to create a brand-new broadcasting ecosystem. Its content covers a vast array of programs nationwide, including news, music, stories, sports, finance, drama, talk shows, health, transportation, entertainment, fashion, real estate, and education. It also offers features such as live online interaction and audience comments.
