EDMI Instruments (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992 as one of China's earliest professional integrated circuit design companies. For 23 years, we have been dedicated to the research and design of electricity meters and their intelligent application technologies. In 2005, we registered and established Shenzhen Puxi Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly known).
Starting from the "chip." EDMI Instruments successfully designed and launched China's earliest dedicated chip for prepaid electricity meters, PC101-518, and China's earliest dedicated chip for multi-rate electricity meters, PC302B. With this as a milestone, EDMI Instruments entered the electricity meter design and manufacturing industry and gradually became a mainstream R&D, manufacturing, and service provider with core industry technologies.
Professional and focused. The domestic electricity meter industry underwent a product transformation from mechanical to electromechanical, and then to electronic; from single-function meters to multi-function meters. EDMI Instruments seized this opportunity and, through continuous development and growth, once became a leading technology provider in the electricity meter industry. The main products currently sold domestically include: smart single-phase meters, three-phase meters, concentrators, and centralized meter reading and billing systems.
Strong alliances. In June 2010, Singapore's EDMI Pte Ltd successfully acquired a controlling stake in EDMI Instruments (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. through equity acquisition. In September 2015, EDMI Pte Ltd completed 100% ownership of EDMI Instruments. At this point, EDMI Instruments (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. became a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDMI Singapore. On October 27, 2015, the company's Chinese name was officially changed from "Shenzhen Puxi Instrument Technology Co., Ltd." to "EDMI Instruments (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd." EDMI was founded in Brisbane, Australia in 1978 and registered as EDMI Pte Ltd in Singapore in 1997. Over the years, EDMI has focused on the R&D, production, and sales of electricity meters, water meters, and gas meters. It has global R&D centers in Brisbane, Australia and Shanghai, China, and production bases in Singapore and Malaysia. Its main products include 0.2S class high-precision gateway electricity meters, 0.5S class multi-function smart meters and fundamental wave electricity meters, single-phase multi-function smart meters, and AMR electric energy billing systems. Its products are sold to more than 30 countries and regions worldwide.
