Chongqing Chang'an Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. is subordinate to China Equipment Group Co., Ltd., and is a large state-owned military-civilian integrated enterprise and a key national backbone enterprise for military protection. The predecessor of Chang'an Industry can be traced back to the Shanghai Foreign Gun Bureau founded in 1862 by Li Hongzhang, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Qing Dynasty, with a history of 156 years, making it one of the oldest industrial enterprises in China. The company is located in the Airport Industrial Park in Yubei District, covering an area of 2,400 mu, and also has a specialized testing base covering more than 20,000 mu in Sichuan, which is being developed into a testing site for the southwest region.
The company has strong special product research and development capabilities and a unique production line for special products. Closely following the reform system and construction priorities, it aims to build a technology-leading enterprise, practices "R&D first," drives changes in R&D systems and mechanisms and production organization methods through innovation, and has formed a scientific research mechanism of "the Science and Technology Committee managing overall affairs, the Development Department taking charge of general management, research institutes focusing on construction, and project teams leading operations." The special equipment developed and produced by the company was honorably reviewed by the motherland and the people at the National Day military parade for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and at the military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.

Its products are renowned nationwide and widely used in agriculture, forestry, anti-riot and anti-terrorism fields, among others.
To enhance the professional level of intelligent research, Chongqing Chang'an Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. established a Shenzhen branch in Nanshan District, Shenzhen in October 2018. Aiming to build the Shenzhen branch into an internationally first-class, leading company for informatization, intelligentization, and smartification of high-end intelligent special equipment, and to serve the headquarters' strategic development, the Shenzhen branch focuses on the headquarters' unmanned vehicle project in the short term, concentrating on the research and development of walking and drive control technologies for unmanned vehicles (special equipment), the design and development of hardware and software for the whole vehicle control system, and completing overall vehicle integration with the headquarters. At the same time, it continuously deepens military-civilian integration development projects, research, and integration.
Currently, Chang'an Industry has developed into an enterprise group focused on special product research and development, with key areas including intelligent manufacturing, engineering construction, and automobile-related industries.
