Wuhan Futian Aimin Forensic Identification Center

Wuhan Futian Aimin Forensic Identification Center is a large comprehensive forensic identification institution established in accordance with the overall layout of the forensic identification industry's development, through the integration and optimization of existing identification resources, and upon review and registration by the Hubei Provincial Department of Justice. Its predecessor institutions were Wuhan Aimin Forensic Medical Identification Institute, established in January 2006, and Wuhan Futian Forensic Identification Institute, established in July 2011.
The center's new location is at Fanhai City Plaza, Wuhan Central Business District (CBD), Wangjiadun, Jianghan District, Wuhan, covering an area of over 600 m2. The center has reasonably divided areas for receiving identification commissions, safekeeping identification materials, conducting identification activities, and storing identification archives. It has set up testing laboratories that meet national and industry standards, equipped them with instruments and equipment required for identification, and passed capability verification for relevant forensic identification items in accordance with regulations. As determined by the Provincial Department of Justice and the Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, as one of the first batch of 5 pilot units, the center is making every effort to advance certification and accreditation work. The center has an internal office, forensic medical identification room, traffic accident identification room, and assessment room, and possesses a professional technical team of more than 30 people composed of forensic medicine, vehicle, and trace identification experts and outstanding young and middle-aged identification personnel. The center's appraisers adhere to the practice philosophy that quality is more important than life and responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai, and carry out identification activities in accordance with the law, independently, objectively, and impartially. Since its establishment, it has cumulatively completed more than 50,000 various identification cases, including a number of difficult and complex identification cases and identification cases with major social impact. In recent years, the center's annual identification cases have grown to more than 10,000, with an acceptance rate maintained at over 98%, making it a well-known identification institution with the leading case volume in the city and even the province.
