China Gezhouba Group Explosive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Explosive Company") is a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., an enterprise under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is a leading large-scale civilian explosive enterprise in China that integrates scientific research, production, sales, and blasting services into a complete industrial chain. It is one of the few enterprises in China that possesses both production, sales, import and export qualifications for civilian explosives, as well as a Grade II qualification for "General Contracting of Mine Engineering Construction" and a Grade I qualification for "Commercial Blasting Operation Units".
The Explosive Company has over 30 subsidiary companies, branches, and project departments both domestically and internationally. It produces, sells, and researches a full range of civilian explosive products with complete specifications. Its product sales cover most regions of China and are also exported to Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, as one of the most powerful domestic enterprises in integrated blasting services, it widely serves in fields such as mine mining construction, energy engineering construction, infrastructure construction, urban controlled blasting, and other construction projects, with markets spanning both domestic and international.
Since 1993, the Explosive Company was born alongside the world-renowned century project—the Three Gorges Water Control Project. It was the first in China to apply on-site mixed explosive truck technology to hydropower engineering construction. Its safe, high-quality, efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical features have won high praise from users and society.
Since 1998, the Explosive Company has expanded beyond the Three Gorges, successively applying on-site mixed explosive truck technology in nearly 20 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) in key national energy projects such as large-scale water conservancy and hydropower, nuclear power, thermal power, as well as key national infrastructure projects like ports, wharves, and airports, and large-scale mine mining projects. It has promoted a service model integrating blasting design, drilling construction, on-site explosive manufacturing and charging, blasting operations, and excavation, loading, and transportation. This not only pioneered cross-provincial operations of on-site mixed explosive trucks in China but also accumulated rich experience in providing systematic and personalized services to users in terms of process technology, equipment technology, blasting technology, construction management, and business models. During this period, the Explosive Company actively responded to industry policy guidance and successively restructured and integrated multiple civilian explosive production enterprises nationwide. Its licensed production capacity for industrial explosives ranks among the forefront of the domestic civilian explosive industry.
