In 2015, Panasonic Corporation of China and Chongqing Zaisheng Technology Co., Ltd. jointly invested to establish Panasonic Vacuum Energy-saving New Materials (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. The company invested 165 million RMB and began mass production in April 2016. It is mainly responsible for the development, production, procurement, sales of vacuum insulation panels, vacuum insulation panel application products and related parts and products, and after-sales service. The products are mainly used in refrigerators, building exterior walls, cold chain transport vehicles, and other products requiring high thermal insulation performance. Since its establishment, the company has operated steadily and won customer praise with the consistently high quality of the Panasonic Group. At present, the company mainly focuses on exports. In 2021, sales were nearly 200 million RMB, achieving one-third of the market share for similar products.
With the upgrading of domestic market consumption and higher requirements for energy-saving and environmental protection materials, Panasonic has decided to continue increasing investment in this field. It has purchased 50 mu of land in the Airport Frontier Technology City of Yubei District for expanded production. The new plant has an investment of 250 million RMB, can accommodate up to 6 production lines, and is expected to reach an annual output value of 500 million RMB after full production, forming an integrated comprehensive unit for research and development, production, and sales.
