The predecessor of 21st Century Publishing Group Co., Ltd. was 21st Century Publishing House, which was established in February 1985. In December 2014, 21st Century Publishing Group Co., Ltd. was officially inaugurated. It has five wholly-owned subsidiaries: Beijing Tianxia Tongshu Culture Media Co., Ltd., 21st Century New Media Communication Co., Ltd., 21st Century Publishing House Jiangxi Advertising Media Co., Ltd., 21st Century "Little Star" Magazine Co., Ltd., and 21st Century "Big Gray Wolf" Pictorial Co., Ltd., as well as "Beijing Macmillan Century Consulting Services Co., Ltd.", a joint investment with the UK's Macmillan Group. In 2009, 21st Century Publishing House was awarded the title of "National Top 100 Publishing Units" by the General Administration of Press and Publication of China; in 2011, it was rated as an "Advanced Collective in the National Press and Publication System" by the General Administration of Press and Publication. 21st Century Publishing House ranked first among local children's publishing houses in the comprehensive ranking of overall economic scale of children's book publishing houses for three consecutive years in 2012, 2013, and 2014. In terms of copyright, 21st Century Publishing House has won the "WIPO Copyright Gold Award for Promotion and Application" and was rated as a "National Copyright Demonstration Unit." In 2013, our house was listed by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television as one of the first batch of "Digital Publishing Transformation Demonstration Units." On March 30, 2015, at the 52nd Bologna Children's Book Fair's "Best Children's Publisher of the Year" selection, 21st Century Publishing House stood out among many powerful brand publishers in Asia and won the honor of "2015 Best Children's Publisher of the Year," standing at the pinnacle of world children's publishing and winning honor for Chinese publishing.
