On August 18, 2014, Sunshine Seven Stars Entertainment and Media Group announced its establishment in Beijing. The group was founded by media investors Wu Zheng and Yang Lan, who integrated their previously managed business segments. The group's vision is to become one of the leading enterprises in global entertainment, media, and related investment fields, creating a new landscape for global entertainment media. Wu Zheng and Yang Lan serve as co-chairmen of Sunshine Seven Stars Entertainment and Media Group, with Wu Zheng as CEO.

Sunshine Seven Stars Entertainment and Media Group is composed of five major segments: Sunshine Media Group, Seven Stars Entertainment and Media Group, Sunshine New Pioneer Entertainment Group, Chenxing Film Finance Group, and Wide Angle Media Enterprise Group.

Among them, the well-known Sunshine Media Group was co-founded by Wu Zheng and Yang Lan in 1999 and currently owns several flagship brands, including the high-end interview TV program "Yang Lan One on One", the university celebrity sharing forum "Youth Talk", the cross-media women's lifestyle program "Her Village", and the lifestyle online show "Heavens, Women!".
