Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd., founded in 2005, is headquartered in Daxing Biomedical Industry Base of Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone, Beijing. It is a high-tech biotech enterprise dedicated to developing new in vitro diagnostic technologies and innovative products, and promoting the integrated development of medical laboratory testing and POCT industries. The company has been selected as one of the Top 100 Fast-Growing Enterprises in National High-tech Zones and Top 100 High-Growth Enterprises in Zhongguancun.

The company integrates R&D, production, and sales. Relying on its own R&D and industry-university-research cooperation, it has established the first fully quantitative point-of-care testing (POCT) technology platform with completely independent intellectual property rights in China. It is the first enterprise in the world to apply rare-earth upconversion luminescent materials to clinical POCT and biosafety fields, mastering the core upconversion luminescence (UPT) technology and holding more than 20 domestic and international patents. Its industrialization and market application levels are at the forefront of the industry.

Hotgen Biotech has successively undertaken multiple provincial and ministerial-level science and technology projects, including the National 863 Program, National Major Science and Technology Special Projects, National Natural Science Foundation, major scientific and technological research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the SME Innovation Fund of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the implementing unit of Beijing's major scientific and technological achievement transformation projects. Many of its products have been recognized as "National Key New Products" and "New Technologies and New Products of the Zhongguancun Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone." In 2014, it was approved to jointly establish the "Beijing Key Laboratory of Biological Emergency and Clinical POCT." In 2015, it won the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award for its "Instant Detection System and Multi-field Applications Based on Rare-earth Nanomaterial Upconversion Luminescence Technology," making it the first immunodiagnostic methodology in China to win this national award, with its industrialization and market application levels at a leading position.

The company has established a systematic and standardized medical device production quality management system and a nationwide sales network and sales team. It has passed the ISO13485 international quality system certification and has been rated as a demonstration unit of medical device quality management in Beijing. Its clinical diagnostic product series cover important fields such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease detection, tumor marker detection, infection diagnosis, and premature birth diagnosis. In particular, it has successfully developed several new serological marker detection products for hepatitis and liver cancer, which are widely used in clinical departments and laboratory systems across the country. Its biosafety product series have been applied in areas such as anti-bioterrorism, customs inspection and quarantine, field detection by disease control centers, fire mobile biological detection, and detection of foodborne pathogenic bacteria.
