China Shenhua Coal-to-Liquid and Chemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Energy Group, established on June 27, 2008, and formerly known as China Shenhua Coal-to-Liquid Co., Ltd. established on June 12, 2003. As one of the Group's four major business segments - "coal, electric power, chemical, and transportation" - it is a modern coal-to-liquid and chemical enterprise with an integrated industrial model of "industry planning, research and development, engineering construction, production operation, and product sales." As the Group's professional platform for the chemical industry, it functions as a platform for energy and chemical project preliminary development and construction, strategic emerging industry incubation and engineering demonstration, professional talent cultivation for the chemical industry, key common technology research and development for coal-to-liquid and chemical, technical support and guarantee for strategic coal-to-liquid projects, and a quality supervision center for chemical engineering projects, collectively known as the "Five Platforms and One Center." It hosts the national-level R&D platform "National Engineering Research Center for Coal Direct Liquefaction."
Since its establishment, the company has been dedicated to clean and efficient coal conversion, actively engaged in the development and utilization of coal-to-liquid and coal chemical technologies. It has achieved multiple research results with independent intellectual property rights in coal direct liquefaction, indirect liquefaction to oil, and coal-to-chemical products, mastering core technologies such as coal direct liquefaction process and DMTO process technology. It has received dozens of national and industry-level awards, including the China Patent Gold Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, and industry science and technology awards.
