Founded in April 2000, CITIC Guoan Mengguli Power Source Technology Co., Ltd. is a state-controlled company with a registered capital of RMB 146 million. Located in Beijing Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone, the company is mainly engaged in the research, development, production, and sales of cathode materials for lithium-ion secondary batteries.
At the inception of the company, it independently developed the synthesis method and process technology for cobalt lithium oxide, a new cathode material for lithium batteries, and achieved industrialization, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign products in this field in China and vigorously promoting the development of China's lithium battery industry. The company was the first in China to achieve industrial production of lithium manganate. The power batteries made from its products were successfully applied to pure electric buses in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
The company attaches great importance to product quality and environmental protection. It has passed ISO9001:2008 quality management system and ISO14001 environmental management system certifications. Its products have been tested by authoritative departments and meet the environmental requirements of the European Union.
The company has a modern R&D center of nearly 10,000 square meters, equipped with advanced experimental facilities, and has formed a stable management team and a research team full of innovation and pioneering spirit. It has undertaken and completed a number of major national and provincial-level scientific and technological projects, achieving a series of important research results. Among them, the lithium cobalt oxide synthesis technology was awarded the First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award in 2003 and the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2004.
The company has obtained multiple domestic and international patent licenses in energy materials, developed internationally advanced production technologies for lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganate, lithium nickel oxide, and ternary materials, and formed a core technology system with independent intellectual property rights. The company has undertaken and completed the formulation of the national standard for "lithium cobalt oxide" and the industry standard for "lithium manganate", and has been rated as a National Postdoctoral Research Station, a Beijing Enterprise Technology Center, and one of the first batch of innovative enterprises in the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone.
