POSCO-Austem (Wuhan) Auto Parts Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Austem Co., Ltd. of South Korea (contributing 87%), POSCO (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (contributing 5%), and POSCO (Wuhu) Auto Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (contributing 8%), with a registered capital of USD 10 million and a total Phase I investment of USD 25 million. The company is located within the SAIC-GM industrial area in Qingling Urban Industrial Park, Hongshan District, Wuhan City, and was registered and established in November 2015.
The company covers a total area of 75,100 square meters (112.6 mu), and the total construction area of the Phase I factory is 18,000 square meters. With the completion of the Phase I factory, it will provide a guarantee for achieving mass production of chassis parts for the D2UC project of the SAIC-GM Wuhan plant in March 2017.
