CRRC Guangdong Rail Transit Vehicles Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CRRC Guangdong") is a strategic cooperation project between Guangdong Province and CRRC Corporation Limited, with a registered capital of RMB 1.27 billion. CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. holds 51% of the shares, Guangdong Provincial Railway Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. holds 35%, and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. holds 14%. CRRC Guangdong was established on June 1, 2010, mainly engaged in the manufacturing, maintenance, and related industrial services of rail transit vehicles, as well as the import and export business of rail transit vehicles. The factory area of CRRC Guangdong is planned to cover about 1,500 mu, with an overall construction scale of 700 new EMUs per year, 130 trains for third-level maintenance per year, and 65 trains for fourth-level and fifth-level maintenance each per year. The total fixed asset investment in the first phase is about RMB 1.88 billion, and it has formed capabilities for manufacturing and maintenance of intercity EMUs, manufacturing of urban rail metro vehicles, manufacturing of large components such as aluminum alloy car bodies, and maintenance of high-speed EMUs, with an average annual production capacity of 480 new vehicles and 640 overhauled vehicles. The product series of CRRC Guangdong include intercity EMUs, suburban (regional) trains, metro vehicles, light rail, trams, monorail vehicles, and other rail transit vehicles, capable of manufacturing and maintaining rail transit vehicles of various track gauges and power supply systems to meet the needs of domestic and overseas markets. Representative products include CRH6 series intercity suburban (regional) trains, CRH2-platform high-speed EMUs, and urban rail metro vehicles.
